Norcold To Layoff 345 Workers In Ohio Due To COVID-19 Stay-At-Home Order
Norcold Incorporated, an RV and marine refrigerator manufacturer, filed a WARN with the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services on March 23, 2020. The letter alerted of a layoff that would impact 345 at two Ohio locations – 600 Kuther Road in Sidney and 1 Century Drive in Gettysburg.
The layoff has been contributed to Governor De Wine’s stay-at-home order which is scheduled to begin at 11:59 pm March 23. Employee separations were expected to begin immediately.
The WARN never mentioned employee union representation or whether or not the layoff would be permanent or temporary.
