Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin diagnosed with cancer : ‘serious but curable’

Rep. Jamie Raskin, the lead manager for Trump’s second impeachment, is diagnosed with cancer late. He is presently serving on the Jan. 6 Committee. On Wednesday, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., announced that he had been diagnosed with “a serious but curable form of cancer” called Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma.

He made this declaration in a press release. A Democrat from Maryland, Rep. Jamie Raskin, spoke about his complication in public. He said that he had gone through several days of tests.

He added, “I am about to embark on a course of chemo-immunotherapy on an outpatient basis at Med Star Georgetown University Hospital and Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. The prognosis for most people in my situation is excellent after four months of treatment.”

Raskin would continue working

Raskin said that he still expects himself to continue working. He said that he would be going through treatment continuously. The doctors had asked him to stay cautious and, thus, try to lower the unnecessary exposure to the Covid 19, viruses, or flu, which could harm him in any way. However, he still wishes to pursue his work while going through treatment. He says that although it is severe, it is curable.
