Fedex Facility In Halethorpe, Maryland Set To Close Impacting 130 Workers

On February 11, 2020, the Maryland Department of Labor received a WARN from Fedex Ground Package System Inc. The WARN explains that the company will be closing its Halethorpe, Maryland facility in April of this year.

The closure is expected to take place on April 18, 2020. In a statement to Fox Baltimore, the company explained that the 130 impacted workers would not be laid off. The company will begin redirecting certain packages from the Halethorpe facility to other facilities in the area.

Current employees at the Halethorpe facility on Hollins Ferry Road will have the opportunity to accept assignments at other FedEx Ground locations. The impacted facility is located at 4801 Hollins Ferry Road in Halethorpe.
