Matt Reeves ‘The Batman 2021 ’ is one of the most awaited superhero movies that will be released in 2021. Because of the lockdown rules, the film production has stalled, and the release date postponed from June 2021 to October 2021.
Matt Reeve is casting the following actors in his new film: Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman; Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman; Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot or like we call him The Penguin; Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright, Peter Sarsgaard; and John Turturro. The list is quite long, but the movie stars great actors who we’re sure will do great justice to their roles.
The cast is super excited to get back to shooting. Robert Pattinson, who will be playing the role of Batman and Zoë Kravitz / Catwoman, share their view of being able to get through the lockdown because ‘The Batman’ production awaits them on the other side. Farrell also mentioned that he’s looking forward to returning to filming again, saying, “I had only started it, and I can’t wait to get back.”
What will Penguin look like in The Batman 2021?
The villain in the movie, Penguin which will be played by Collin Farrell, is the talk of the town these days as people try to anticipate the look that will do justice to the villain of The Batman. One such fan William Gray who is a digital artist posted his interpretation of Penguin’s look on Instagram. Gray’s version of The Batman villain looks classic as opposed to the previous versions of Penguin. The look that Gray designed has Farrell with a monocle and an aristocratic cravat that make him look sophisticated yet very much like the villain he is supposed to be.
Penguin has gone through a significant transformation over the years. From Batman television series in 1966 with Burgess Meredith in a black and pink tuxedo with a cigarette in his mouth to Robin Taylor with a single prosthetic nose, we have seen the villain in different looks. Now it has to be seen what does the new batman movie has in store for us.
Even though Farrell said that we wouldn’t see much of Penguin but what we see will be ‘aesthetic.’ The Penguin, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, is one of the most liked villains of all time. Penguin created as a symbol of unethical and corrupt politics of the 20th century, is still being carried forward.
The Batman’s look
The role of Bruce Wayne has been given to our favorite Twilight Vampire, Robert Pattinson. The fans much love the new look of the Batman suit and Batmobile, and the keen eyes of fans are looking for all the details these new-look entails. Bruce Wayne creates his own modified muscle car and reveals that even though he is a billionaire, he is a down to earth superhero.
Gray also created fan art for the Batman suit that reveals all the details and gadgets that the bodysuit could entail. It has been inspired by set and production photos, as Gray said when he showed his design.
As the production of the most awaited superhero movie has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, trailers are not available to us. It increases the curiosity of fans and inspires some great ideas for the various looks in the movie.

It was recently reported that The Batman had been given the green signal to start the production, but we are unaware of when that might happen. As much as the fans are excited and eagerly and impatiently for the movie, the movie’s cast is equally excited to start the production. The whole cast of the new Batman movie has nothing but positive reviews for the script, giving us the hope that when the wait is over, the world will be awarded one of the most excellent superhero movies of all time.
