Super Power for Diabetes: Montgomery County Student Uses Her 5+ Super Powers with Diabetes to Help Others

Montgomery County student Sarah Johnson has been living with Type 1 diabetes since she was 8 years old. Now, as a high school junior, she is using her experience to help others with the condition. Sarah has started a nonprofit organization called “Superpower: Type 1” to connect those living with Type 1 diabetes with the resources and support they need to manage their condition.

Sarah Johnson was inspired to start “Superpower: Type 1” after attending a diabetes camp where she met other children with the condition.
