A Baltimore County man almost threw out his Bingo X10 6th edition scratch-off lottery ticket, not realizing it was a $100,000 top-prize winner. The key was purchased at a local convenience store in Dundalk, Maryland.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was cleaning his car when he found the ticket. He thought it was a losing ticket and was about to toss it in the trash when he decided to scan it with the Maryland Lottery app.

To his surprise, the app revealed that he had won the top prize of $100,000. He immediately called his wife to share the good news, and they both couldn’t believe their luck.

The man, who is retired, said he plans to use the money to pay off some bills and take a trip with his wife. He expressed gratitude to the Maryland Lottery and the convenience store where he purchased the ticket.
