Ghostbusters: Afterlife is one of the most highly anticipated Ghostbusters films to date. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife we follow a team of Ghostbusters who are living out their lives years after the events of Ghostbusters 2. Ghostbusters: Afterlife currently sitting at 64% on Rotten Tomatoes. Many people have commented that Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a worthy addition to the franchise, while others felt Ghostbusters: Afterlife was lacking in many areas. The movie’s story has come under scrutiny for being too similar to other popular films of its genre including Ghostbusters II . Ghostbusters will always hold a special place in my heart as it did when I first saw this film back in 1984. It isn’t perfect by any means but there are enough laughs and scares here to make me smile from ear-to-ear especially during one scene involving Sigourney Weaver wearing nothing but her birthday suit!
Ghostbusters fans will be pleased with Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the movie has enough charm to attract new followers. Even if their older children give them some strange looks when they tell them how much Ghostbusters meant to them. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a fun adventure that does not take itself too seriously while also delivering on all of its promises. The special effects are top notch and there’s actually something for everyone in this family film despite it being more suitable for younger kids than anyone else. Ghostbusters: Afterlife may lack originality but I found myself having a good time throughout and at least we get an opportunity to see our favorite characters back on screen one last time so I can’t complain!
