The Crown is a Netflix original show that has been nominated for countless awards and won many of them. The series centers around the young Queen Elizabeth II as she ascends to the throne at age 25, following her father’s death. The first season covers up until 1955 .The fifth season will likely cover the Harold Wilson years and his eventual replacement by Edward Heath with Jeremy Thorpe as leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition. The show features incredible performances from Claire Foy who plays Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith who plays Prince Philip, Vanessa Kirby who plays Princess Margaret, John Lithgow as Winston Churchill and Victoria Hamilton as The Queen Mother. The show constantly delivers high-quality drama and The Crown Season is no exception. The cast, crew and producers have all come together to create amazing work over the last five years with The Crown Season being one of Netflix’s most popular shows ever.
