Ft. Howard residents to receive new mailbox units as post office set to close

Ft. Howard, Maryland residents will soon receive 169 new mailbox units as the local post office is set to close this weekend, according to a press release from the United States Postal Service (USPS), the Ft. Howard Post Office will cease operations on Saturday, June 25th, and all mail will be redirected to the Sparrows Point Post Office.

The USPS has assured residents that they will continue to receive mail delivery, but it will be delivered to their new mailbox units. The new mailbox units will be located at the Ft—–Howard Community Center, which is located at 9619 Howard Avenue. The mailbox units will be available starting Monday, June 27th.

The closure of the Ft. Howard Post Office is part of the USPS’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and reduce costs. The USPS has stated that the decision to close the post office was not made lightly and was based on several factors, including declining mail volume and revenue.

Residents express concerns over post office closure
