Dometic Corporation To Layoff 197 Workers In LaGrange

The Dometic Corporation filed a WARN with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on January 22, 2020. The notice alerted of a permanent layoff that would impact 197 workers.

The impacted employees are currently employed at the Indiana plant at 509 S. Popular Street in LaGrange. The layoff is scheduled to take place on March 31, 2020, according to the WARN.

Business Closing

The 197 impacted workers do not have union representation. The job titles to be impacted by the layoff include Paint Tech Assistant, Quality Manager, Shipping Clerk, Group Leader B, Material Handler, Engineer, Facilities Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and others.

The Dometic Corporation produces refrigeration equipment and supplies. The reason for the layoff is not available at this time.
