Police: Woman carjacked at Costco morning of Black Friday
Anne Arundel County police said a woman was carjacked at gunpoint in the busy Costco parking lot on Black Friday morning. According to police reports, the woman was loading items into her vehicle in the parking lot of the Hanover Costco around 11:30 am on November 25th when two men approached her.
The Carjacking
The men allegedly displayed handguns and demanded the woman’s keys and wallet. She complied with their demands and they fled the parking lot in her vehicle. Police were called to the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
Ongoing Investigation
Anne Arundel County Police are actively investigating the armed robbery and carjacking. They have not yet identified any suspects. The stolen vehicle is a blue 2020 Honda Civic with Maryland license plate number 4CZ6138. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact Anne Arundel County Police.
The parking lot was busy with post-Thanksgiving Black Friday shoppers at the time of the incident. This brazen carjacking in broad daylight in a crowded public space has left local residents unsettled. Police are increasing patrols around commercial areas as their investigation continues.
