Cat Rescued from Fort McHenry Tunnel after Being Thrown from a Vehicle

A cat was rescued from the Fort McHenry Tunnel on June 25, 2023, after being thrown from a vehicle on Interstate-95, according to WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore. Maryland Transportation Authority closed down part of the tunnel for about 15 minutes, allowing responders to rescue the cat safely. The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) took the cat in for care and treatment.

According to The Baltimore Banner, the Maryland Transportation Authority closed part of the tunnel for about 15 minutes to allow responders to rescue the cat safely. The cat was reportedly thrown from a vehicle on Interstate-95 and suffered injuries. BARCS provides the necessary care and treatment for the cat.
