Yemen: Doctor seeing empty Covid hospital after fake death text

The war-torn Yemen braces itself for a second wave of Covid 19 all over again. The doctor recalls her battle with the pandemic and how she was alone in the hospital after her colleagues had left. The dramatic fake news that plagued the entire spot just as it had originally arrived all came under the notice.

The 29 years old Zoha Aidaroos al-Zubaidi recalled all those moments when she used to stand behind a hastily painted red quarantine line that was situated down the middle of her hospital. She even talked about a patient on the other side of the line who has been all alone, and was struggling to take a breath.

The line was needed for a few weeks and it seemed to be nothing other than a quiet warning that the pandemic ravaging the other nations would reach Yemen. Now, the al-Amal hospital that is located in the southern city of Aden had its first suspected Covid 19 patuent. Zoha was extremely terrified.

The line had not been required for several weeks. When she asked them about all that has been happening, they said that they had given oxygen to the man but at the same time, didn’t want to contact him any further. The next thing that she knew was to ensure that her colleagues had left the hospital completely. The management said, “There was no response. I kept calling and shouting out… There was nobody left.”
