A motorcyclist has died following a head-on collision with a pickup truck in Howard County.

According to Howard County Police, the collision occurred on June 6, 2023, at around 3:30 p.m. on Route 32 near Burntwood Road.

Police say that the motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old John Smith, was traveling southbound on Route 32 when he collided head-on with a pickup truck that was traveling northbound.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck driver, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward with information.
