The second round of the show was renewed in February 2020 and aired later in April 2021 because there was a pandemic. If we did not have that, we would have seen the second season sooner. What is the plot of Godfather of Harlem: season 3?
The show tells the true story of a man named Bumpy Jhonson. He was in prison for selling drugs when he got out and saw that another group is taking over his city. The Genovese family started doing organized killings, and other crimes and drugs flooded the area. So he took matters into his own hands. The man wanted to fix the neighborhood and help its Black citizens. He talked to politicians and civil rights leaders. Malcolm X helped him, too. In the city, there is a new leader. The mob from his side starts to kill people from another side.
Forest Whitaker plays a role in the movie! Luis Guzman plays the part of Bumpy’s close friend, Alejandro “El Guapo” Villabuena. Nigél Thatch plays the Muslim minister Malcolm X. Ilfenesh Hadera plays the wife of Bumpy, Mayme Johnson. Antoinette Crowe-Legacy plays Bumpy’s daughter, Elise Johnson. Erik LaRay Harvey and Elvis Nolasco play Bumpy’s trusted men Del Chance and Nat Pettigrew.
In the second season of Bumpy, he tries to take charge of the heroin pipeline called the French Connection that runs from Marseilles to New York City. Naturally, this means fighting other crime families in the city.
