If you wanted to see the next God of War today, it was on the PlayStation Showcase. It has been over a year since it was first announced. The new God of War is called God of War: Ragnarok. We got a first look at the game through a trailer that showed many things. There are some new things we learned from this video. In the first game, Atreus was a little boy. In this new game, he is a teenager. He is taller and has a deeper voice. Sometimes he butts heads with his dad, Kratos. But you can tell that he’s still just a little boy because sometimes he acts like one too.

The reveal of Atreus as a teenager in Ragnarok means that two years have passed since the last game and this one. With their actions in the first game, Kratos and Atreus have managed to anger pretty much everyone in the Norse pantheon (at least those who are still alive). In today’s trailer, there is a lot of talk about Odin, but a post on the PlayStation Blog confirms that Thor and Freya will be the main enemies in God of War: Ragnarok.

That post says that we will be able to visit all 9 of the worlds in the game. In 2018’s God of War, we were able to go to six worlds, but three were not accessible for the entire game. We will visit all of those three in Ragnarok, and six more as well. That sounds like a lot to explore.
