On July 8th, 2023, the Baltimore Police Department announced an ongoing homicide investigation in the Eastern District. According to the police, the investigation began after officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2200 block of East Chase Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later died from his injuries.

According to Fox Baltimore, the police are currently searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10”, with a slim build, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.

The police urge anyone with information about the shooting or the suspect to come forward. The Baltimore Police Department has also increased patrols in the area to prevent further violence.
