Baltimore’s holiday train garden returns to the Top of the World Observation Level for a festive season.

A holiday tradition returns to the Top of the World Observation Level.

The holiday train garden display at the Top of the World Observation Level in Baltimore, Maryland, will return for the 2023 holiday season. Now in its 10th year, the elaborate model train layout featuring miniature scenes from around the city of Baltimore and the surrounding region is a popular holiday attraction. The train garden will be on display from November 25, 2023 through January 8, 2024. Visitors can ride the elevator up to the indoor observation deck on the 27th floor of the Top of the Baltimore World Trade Center to see the trains winding through the festive miniature cityscape.

What to expect at this year’s train garden display

This year’s train garden display is expected to be the largest one yet, spanning over 1,000 square feet with detailed recreations of famous Baltimore landmarks like Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Inner Harbor promenade, and the Washington Monument. Organizers have added new sections to the layout featuring the waterfront areas of Fells Point and Federal Hill. Over a dozen train engines will be running along the track system that winds through the city. In addition to taking in the scenic views of Baltimore from on high, visitors can enjoy holiday music playing as the trains go by. Hot cocoa and cookies will also be provided on select dates for a festive experience. Organizers are excited to bring back this Baltimore holiday tradition after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
