Baltimore County Police investigate five shot in Woodlawn

On December 23, 2023 at approximately 4:05 AM, Baltimore County Police officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired in the 1800 block of Woodlawn Drive in Woodlawn, Maryland. Upon arriving on the scene, they discovered five individuals who had suffered gunshot wounds according to a press release from the Baltimore County Police Department.

The Victims

The five victims, who ranged in age from 20-30 years old, were found in a vehicle that was parked on Woodlawn Drive. One of the victims, 28-year-old Judah James, was pronounced dead at the scene. The four other victims, who have not been publicly identified, were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries according to CBS Baltimore. James was a local Baltimore rapper who performed under the name “Bandhunta Jugg”.

The Investigation

Homicide detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department immediately opened an investigation into the shooting. They believe it was a targeted incident based on the circumstances, but have not provided details on possible suspects or motives at this early stage of the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them. As of December 25th, no arrests have been made.
