The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in an assault with intent to kill (gun) offense on June 8, 2023, in the 1800 block of Stanton Terrace, Southeast.

According to a press release from the MPD, officers responded to the area around 10:30 p.m. on June 8 for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition.

During the investigation, detectives learned that the suspect vehicle fled the scene after the shooting. The vehicle is described as a black SUV with tinted windows, and it was last seen traveling eastbound on Stanton Terrace.
