Mahadev App: Illegal Betting and Hawala Scam

The Mahadev App, an illegal betting and hawala app, has been making headlines recently due to its involvement in a massive scam. The app was allegedly used to facilitate illegal betting on cricket matches, with transactions worth thousands of crores taking place on a daily basis. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been investigating the case and has charged the app’s promoters and 12 others.

The Mahadev App scam has also implicated several Bollywood celebrities, including Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who allegedly promoted the app. The ED has summoned Ranbir Kapoor to appear before them, while Shraddha Kapoor has already appeared for questioning.

Government Bans Mahadev App and 21 Other Illegal Betting Apps

In response to the Mahadev App scam, the Indian government has issued orders to ban the app and 21 other illegal betting apps. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has directed internet service providers to block the operations of these apps. The move is aimed at curbing illegal betting and hawala transactions, which have become a major problem in India.

The ban on the Mahadev App and other illegal betting apps is a step towards promoting transparency and accountability in the betting industry. It is also a reminder that illegal activities will not be tolerated and that those involved will be held accountable. The government’s action sends a strong message to those who engage in illegal betting and hawala transactions, and serves as a warning to others who may be tempted to do the same.
