Two Fatal Shootings In Baltimore Occurring Within Hours Of Each Other


Baltimore Police say a 26-year-old was fatally shot Tuesday in the Northwest District.

Approximately 4:43 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 3100 block of Wylie Avenue. At the scene, the responding officers found a 26-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

Violent Weekend In BaltimoreMedics dispatched to the scene transported the man to Sinai Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Approximately 2:22 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of West North Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers found a 25-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. Additional details are not available at this time.

Police identify Western District shooting victim as Kendel Lecompte, 27, of the 5100 block of Chalrove Avenue.

Around 2:23 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 2400 block of Woodbrook Avenue to investigate a shooting. Officers found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
