Terrafina To Close Bronx Facility, Laying Off 109 Employees


Terrafina, LLC filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the New York State Department of Labor on November 10. The notice indicates the company will close its facility at 1610 Bathgate Avenue in The Bronx and lay off 109 employees.

Business Closing

Terrafina produces an extensive range of USDA certified organic and natural products. The company offers trail mixes, chocolate, candies, nuts, dried fruits, coffee, tea, olive oils and edible seeds.

The affected employees have no bumping rights. Separations are expected to take place on February 15, 2018, the same day the facility will shutter.

“Relocation of operations” was cited as the reason for dislocation in the filing.
