Stargirl season two will continue to follow Stargirl in the years following her high school graduation. Stargirl is a comic book series by American writer Jerry Siegel and artist Lee Elias from 1999 about the adventures of Courtney Whitmore as she deals with high school and superhero life in general. Stargirl was created as an update for DC Comics’ Silver Age character Starman (the first version being Jack Knight).
The original concept was pitched at a time when no woman had ever been featured prominently on magazine covers or starring monthly solo titles—in those days it would have been unthinkable that any publisher could create a profitable female hero title. It ran until 2002, ending its run after only 26 issues due to the change in publisher.
Stargirl is a superheroine and former member of the Justice Society of America who stars in her own series Stargirl from writer Geoff Johns with art by Lee Moder and Judit Tondora, debuting October 12th, 1999.
Is it worth watching?
Stargirl season two is expected to debut on Stargirl’s twentieth anniversary.
The series follows the story of high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore, who finds herself in a quandary when her step-father wears an ancient costume with strange powers and calls himself “Justice.”
