Prince George’s County Police Identify Victim In Chillum Homicide

Maryland – This evening, detectives with our Homicide Unit will canvass a Chillum neighborhood to gather additional information in a fatal shooting Tuesday morning. The victim is 51-year-old Brenda Swann of Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On April 10th, at about 12:30 am, officers responded to the 1500 block of Ray Road for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case. The canvass will begin at 7:00 pm in the 1500 block of Ray Road.
