Prince George’s County Police Announce Arrests In Riverdale Park Homicide


Prince George’s County Police say they have identified to suspects connected to a July homicide in Riverdale Park.

Police arrested Marquise Dinkins, 19, of the 800 block of Glacier Avenue in Capitol Heights and Charles Howard Davis, 30, of the 5000 block of Emerson Street in Bladensburg. The men were charged in the fatal shooting of Cesar Bazan, 26, of the 60th Place in Landover Hills.

Around 8:30 p.m., July 26th, police received a report of a shooting in the 5500 block of 54th Avenue. Upon arrival, the responding officer discovered Bazan outside an apartment suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation.

Davis is being held in the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections without bond. Dinks is currently being held in the District of Columbia awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County.
