Maryland State Police Say Motorists Traveling On Interstate 270 Had Windows ‘Shot Out’


Maryland State Police said five motorists reported having their windows “shot out” on Interstate 270 on Friday afternoon.

Approximately 8:07 p.m., several motorists traveling northbound on Interstate 270 south of Interstate 370 reported having their windows shot out. Troopers responded to the area to investigate the incident.

Preliminary investigation revealed four passenger vehicles and a Montgomery County Ride On Bus were damaged on the driver side. One of the vehicles was traveling southbound on Interstate 270 in the local lanes prior to Montrose Road.

No injuries were reported. Police believe a pellet or BB gun was utilized in the incident.
