Maryland Natural Resources Police Continue Searching For Ice Fisherman At Patapsco Valley Park

Maryland Natural Resources Police continue searching for an ice fisherman who may have fallen through the ice just below Daniels Dam at Patapsco Valley State Park.

Officers responded to the Patapsco Valley State Park Friday afternoon to search for a missing ice fisherman, who they believe fell through the ice. Visitors to the park noticed the hole, tackle box and boot at approximately 4:40 p.m. and notified police.

Missing Ice Fisherman

First responders searched the water and shoreline, but could not locate the ice fisherman. A search this morning was hampered by runoff from heavy rains last night, police said.

Officers will conduct a shoreline search downstream Saturday morning.

If someone did not return home this evening or you are the fisherman who fell through the ice and self-rescued, please let us know. Please call our 24/7 dispatch center: 410-260-8888.
