On January 13, 2018 at roughly 4:40 AM officers with Western District Patrol were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Lafayette after receiving a report of a shooting. After arriving at the scene, officers discovered a 43-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and head. The victim later died at the hospital. A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was outside shoveling snow when he was shot by an unidentified suspect.
On the same day at roughly 12:38 AM, Central District Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Druid Hill to investigate a report of a stabbing. They discovered a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to the neck. He was unresponsive and died after being transported to an area hospital. Also on January 13, Southeast District Patrol officers responded to the report of a shooting on the 400 block of Curley Street at approximately 3:22 PM.
Officers discovered a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced decreased. At approximately 6:05 PM, Northern District patrol officers responded to an area hospital after receiving a report of a walk-in shooting victim. After arriving at the scene, officers found a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim is in stable condition. It is believed that the victim was shot near the 1600 block of Moreland Avenue.
