Hyattsville Woman Cons Customers Out Of Thousands Of Dollars For Fake Cruises

Maria Nicholson of Hyattsville established a business, R U Ready to Travel, in which she utilized to scam thousands from approximately 42 customers.

Abc2news reports Nicholson scammed a 52-year-old New York woman, a newlywed couple and 15 of their family members and friends, along with others who have not been identified out of thousands of dollars for airfare, rooms and cruises that she never booked.

Bolden allegedly conned customers from Prince George’s County and 34 members of a Caroline County church. Seventeen couples booked a cruise through Nicolson’s company, paying almost $35,000 and never received anything in return.

Nine other incidents were reported across the state, in which Nicholson scammed customers out of almost $90,000.

Nicholson is scheduled for trial in Prince George’s and Caroline counties for scheme and theft charges.
