Hyattsville Man Arrested In Connection To Swastika Found At UMD


University of Maryland Police announce the arrest of a 52-year-old Hyattsville man after a swastika was discovered on campus.

Ronald Alford Sr. allegedly entered one of the dormitories and spray painted a swastika on a trashcan, according to the news release. It is not clear who found the swastika, but it was discovered on September 27.

University Of MarylandAlford was charged with one count related to disturbing the operations of a school and one count of malicious destruction of property. He has also been banned from campus.

Alford is scheduled to appear in court in November.
