Howard County Police Investigating Two Violent Sexual Assault In Aberdeen


Around 9:21 p.m. September 10, police were called to investigate a reported rape in the unit block of Carol Avenue. At the scene, police discovered a female who said she had been raped and robbed at knifepoint. The woman was taken to the Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The victim told detectives that she arranged to meet the suspect through the online classified website, Backpage. After arriving near Carol Avenue, a male wearing a mask and gray jacket approached her. The suspect placed a knife to her right side and escorted her to a property in the unit block of Carol Avenue, where he raped her at knifepoint. Before fleeing the scene, the suspect took the victim’s money, according to a Havre de Grace Police news release.

Around 8:58 p.m. September 11, police responded to a reported sexual assault in the unit block of Liberty Street. Upon arrival, the responding officers located a female who had suffered a puncture wound to the stomach, head injury and multiple lacerations, according to the news release.

The victim was taken to the Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The victim described the suspect as a male in his 20s, slender build, about 5’ 10” tall with dark brown skin. The woman told police she arranged to meet the man in the area after an encounter on Backpage.

Both victims were treated and released from Harford Memorial Hospital, according to the media release.
