Howard County Police Investigating Non-Fatal Shooting In Columbia


Howard County Police said a man was shot in Columbia early Wednesday morning.

Approximately 12:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the 5300 block of Brook Way to investigate a reported shooting. At the scene, the responding officers found a man who had suffered a “non-life threatening” gunshot wound, according to a new release.

The victim was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated and released. Police believe the shooting was possibly drug-related.
