Howard County Police Arrest Two Baltimore Men For Drug And Human Trafficking


Howard County Police announce the arrest of two Baltimore men in connection with an Elkridge drug and human trafficking case.

Approximately 1 a.m. Friday, two officers working in the Elkridge area observed to subjects walking from the Hillside Motel in the 6300 block of Washington Boulevard. The officers approached the men and engaged in conversation, when they observed one of the man reach for an “unknown object,” which was later determined to be a knife.

ArrestPreliminary investigation revealed that 18-year-old William Wyatt of Maplewood Drive had seven vials of crack cocaine, $650 in U.S. currency, five bags of marijuana, a knife, a motel room key and two mobile phones in his possession. The key was later determined to belong to the Hillside Motel.

Officers located a 21-year-old female engaging in prostitution at the motel. Police believe 34-year-old Leroy Robinson of Calhoun Street was renting the room and arranging prostitution appointments for the woman. Ads connected to the services were found on Backpage, a social media site known for advertising prostitution services.

Wyatt was arrested and charged with drug distribution and multiple firearms violations. Robinson was arrested and charged with drug distribution, prostitution and human trafficking. Both men are being held at the Howard County Detention Center on a no-bond status.
