First Guaranty Mortgage Corp. To Lay Off 82 Employees In Maryland


First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation filed a Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. The notice indicates the company will lay off 82 employees at its offices in Frederick, Maryland.

Business Closing

The Virginia-based mortgage lender announced its plan to retain its space at 5280 Corporate Drive despite the reduction in its workforce. In 2015, the company registered revenue of $99.9 million, with 658 employees, according to Inc.

The layoffs have been confirmed by the general counsel for First Guaranty, but no further comment was given.
