COVID-19 Causes The Oregon Clinic To Furlough Or Reduce Hours For 80% Of Staff

The Oregon Office of Workforce Investments has received a WARN from The Oregon Clinic. It explained that it has experienced a dramatic loss of business due to the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak. The Oregon Clinic (TOC) has taken significant and immediate measures to protect its workforce and patience. As a result, it has had to make difficult staffing decisions to continue operations in the future.

Starting in mid-March, the company’s locations around the Portland Metropolitan have significantly reduced staff hours and placed employees on temporary furloughs. By the beginning of April, 80% of the company’s staff were impacted by furloughs or hours reductions.

The Oregon Clinic intends the reductions to bee temporary. Due to the ongoing pandemic, it is unknown when business will return to normal. In total, 800 workers could be impacted. A list of affected facilities can be found here.
