Chesapeake Real Estate Group Buys Curtis Bay Property In Anne Arundel

Chesapeake Real Estate Group, a Hanover-based real estate company, acquires the Curtis Bay property, which includes 259 acres of land in Anne Arundel County.

The former owner, Exelon Corp., sold the property, known as Brandon Woods III, to Chesapeake for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will allow Chesapeake and partner EverWest Real Estate Partners to construct a 500,000-square-foot industrial building on the property. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held in September for the building, dubbed “mega-warehouse.”

Chesapeake opened a 571,00-square-foot industrial space in Harford County in 2016 and recently completed a 435,000-square-foot space in Baltimore County. Construction for its recently acquired 413,000-square-foot industrial space is currently under construction in Baltimore City.
