Baltimore Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing In Southwest District


Baltimore Police said a 32-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the Southwest District.

Around 1:09 a.m. early Wednesday morning, police received a report of a cutting in the 700 block of Popular Grove Street. Upon arrival at the scene, the responding officers found the victim in the grass profusely bleeding.

The victim, Daivon Evans, 32, of the 700 block of Popular Grove Street, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed several men assaulted Evans with a blunt force object in the 600 block of Popular Grove Street. After the assault, Evans walked north on Popular Grove until he finally collapsed in the grass, police said.
