Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In York Road Double Shooting


Baltimore Police say they have arrested suspect in double shooting that took place August 23 in the Northern District.

Approximately 2:12 a.m., police responded to the 5400 block of York Road to investigate a reported shooting. At the scene, the officers located a 16-year-old male who had been shot in the foot and a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Jerome OwensVictims were transported to a local hospital, where the 16-year-old male was treated and released and the 24-year-old male was listed in critical condition.

Through investigation detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jerome Owens, 24, of the 5400 block of Harpers Farm Road. Owens was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder.
