Baltimore Police Identify Suspect In Monument Street Shooting


Baltimore Police say a 49-year-old male suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound Monday. Through investigation, detectives were able to identify and arrest the suspect the same day.

Derrick KnoxPolice responded to the 1700 block of East Monument Street to investigate a shooting Monday. At the scene, officers located a 49-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the right thigh.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated and later released.

Detectives apprehended Derrick Knox, 45, of the 5500 block of Lynnview Street and charged him with first-degree attempted murder.
