Baltimore Police Department Investigating Southeastern District Homicide, Eastern Homicide


On September 2, 2017 at roughly 9:15 PM, officers with the Baltimore Police Department were dispatched to the 3400 block of Harmony Court after getting calls about gunfire in the area. After arriving at the scene, officers immediately began canvassing the area, until they found an adult male with gunshot wounds.

Medics responded to the scene, before the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment. At this point in time, the victim’s identity remains unknown. The victim was pronounced dead after arriving at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Homicide detectives were sent to the location and have now taken over the investigation.

Also on September 2, 2017, officers received a call about a possible shooting in the area of the 1200 block of East Lafayette Avenue. Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:08 PM. After arriving at the scene, police discovered a 50-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the legs.

Another unidentified male, who was also suffering from gunshot wounds, was found nearby. Medics responded to the scene and both men were rushed to area hospitals. The unidentified male was pronounced dead after arriving at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Homicide detectives have been in charge of the ongoing investigation.
