Baltimore Police Arrest Suspect Connected To July Fatal Shooting


Baltimore Police announce arrest of a male suspect connected to a shooting in Northeast Baltimore that left one man dead and a female injured.

Police responded to the 2600 block of Roselawn Avenue on July 5 for a report of a shooting. At the scene, police found a 23-year-old man who had been fatally shot and a 25-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The male victim was later identified as Darryl Owens.

Baltimore HomicideThe suspect, identified as Jivon Brown, 26, turned himself in at the Baltimore Police Department Central District on July 6, police said.

Brown was charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted first- and second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, illegal possession of ammunition and a firearm.

He is being held in jail without bond.
