Baltimore Police Announce Arrest Of Man For The Death Of A 59-Year-Old Killed In Vacant House Fire

Baltimore police announce the arrest of a suspect in a June 4 house fire that killed a 59-year-old man. The man was living in the vacant house when it was set on fire on fire.

When firefighters arrived to the 319 West 27th Street to put out a house, they discovered an unconscious man, who was later identified as Daniel Brewer. The man was transported to an area hospital, where he later pronounced dead.

Violent Weekend In BaltimoreDaquein McNeil, 23, was charged with arson in connection with the fire. Police said McNeil was involved in a dispute over drugs with another person – not Brewer – who was also living in the vacant house.

Police say murder charges are pending in the case.
