Baltimore Identify Two Suspects In Connection With Shooting Vehicles In Sparks


Baltimore County Police had identified two suspects who allegedly shot several vehicles traveling on Phoenix Road near York Road on August 24.

Around 1:52 p.m., K9 units and SWAT were dispatched to Phoenix Road, where they located a vehicle with a “small bullet hole in the passenger side window. The officers canvased the area, but could not locate the suspect(s).

Approximately five vehicles, including an unmarked police cruiser, were struck by gunfire on Phoenix Road over a one-hour time period, according to the news release.

An investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Tyler James Getz of the unit block of Loveton Farms Court and 17-year-old Timothy Allen Staples of the 19000 block of Gunpowder Road. Both men were charged with reckless endangerment, multiple counts of first-degree assault and malicious destruction of property.

Getz and Staples were released on a $10,000 bond.
