Amid Baltimore Ceasefire Gunfire Could Be Heard Across The City


Baltimore police are investigating overnight shootings that left two dead and one injured.

Around 3:07 p.m. Saturday afternoon, police arrived at a local hospital, where a 22-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot would to his arm, according to police.

The victim told detectives that he was in the 4800 block of Park Heights Avenue, when an unknown suspect shot him.

Police were patrolling in the 1300 block of Sargeant Street around 5:03 p.m., when they heard gunfire. They canvassed the area for possible witnesses and victims and discovered a crime at the intersection of Sargeant and South Carey streets.

Violent Weekend In Baltimore

A 24-year-old man had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Around 9:59 p.m. Saturday night, police was called to investigate a shooting in 1600 block of Gertrude Court. Upon arrival, the responding officers found a 37-year-old man who had suffered gunshot wounds, police said.

The man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center for treatment. Shortly after arrival, the victim was pronounced dead, according to Baltimore Police Department Facebook.
