FutureCare Health and Management is preparing to open a new $30 million rehabilitation center in Landover. The facility will feature 82 private and 34 semi-private rooms, as well as a spa, salon, dialysis suite, ventilator unit, library, a media room, patios, meeting rooms, two gyms and two courtyards.
Construction for the 150-bed rehabilitation and wellness center at 1051 Brightseat Road is expected to be complete in early 2018. It will be located about a mile from the University of Maryland Capital Region Health Center Hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2021.
The new FutureCare rehab facility will offer speech, occupational and physical therapy.
“This rehabilitation and wellness center will be the finest of its kind in Maryland, and will offer futuristic thinking in layout, privacy, technology and care delivery models,” FutureCare’s CEO Garry Attman said in a statement. “We will provide a holistic approach to care, remembering that the patient and their family members are our primary focus.”
