University Of Maryland Plans Expansion To Meet The Growing Demand Of Patient Care

On March 22, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) announced that it had received regularity approval for a new regional center at its Midtown Campus. The new 10-story center will provide care coordination and outpatient services to address the needs of critically ill patients with chronic diseases.

UMMC Midtown CampusOn Thursday, hospital officials said that it would add three floors atop the 200,000-square-foot ambulatory center at its Midtown Campus. The inpatient floors will meet the anticipated future health care needs in the community.

The center will replace the administrative building and open in 2019.
