Howard County Police Arrest Suspect In Columbia Robbery

Howard County Police say a man was robbed while waiting on a commuter bus in Columbia Friday.

Approximately 3:38 p.m., police responded to the 10300 block of Little Patuxent Parkway. At the scene, the responding officers located a man who said he had been robbed at a bus stop.

Preliminary investigation revealed an unknown male suspect approached the victim, grabbed his backpack, took off running and handed it off to a second suspect. The victim confronted the second suspect, who said he had a gun.

Police arrived to the scene and arrested the first suspect, while the second suspect got away. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Dyquan Qshawn Campbell of Cartwright Court in Baltimore.

Campbell was charged with theft, robbery and armed robbery.
