A former teacher’s aide at a Prince George’s County school received a 75-year prison sentence Monday for charges related to the production of child pornography.
Twenty-three-year-old Deonte Carraway of Glenarden coerced and persuaded 12 juveniles to engage in producing sexually explicit videos from October 11 2015 through February 1, 2016. The victims ranged from nine to 13 years of age, according to the 15-count superseding indictment.
Carraway met some of the victims through a choir group and others, while he was employed at Judge Sylvania Woods Elementary School. He engaged and sexual activity with the victims and gave them instructions on what to do during the production of the videos, according to court documents.
Carraway has been in custody since his arrest on February 4, 2016. He was indicted on 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor to produce child pornography.
