Alphabet’s Google announced Thursday that it has expanded its YouTube TV into 14 new U.S. cities, including Baltimore.
As more young people are turning to the Internet for entertainment and conventional broadcast networks are struggling with aging demographics among viewers, YouTube is broadening access to its TV streaming service.
Sinclair Broadcast announced Thursday that it had entered into an agreement with YouTube TV to make its network affiliates, CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC, as well as the Tennis Channel available to nine of the 14 new markets.
The new markets include, Las Vegas, Nevada; Memphis, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Nashville, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; Boston, Massachusetts; and San Antonio, Texas. The streaming service will be launched in Indianapolis, Indiana; St. Louis, Missouri; San Diego, California; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Austin, Texas in the upcoming weeks.
